I learned about TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) in my Development Studies 10 class. TED is an annual conference that brings together thinkers….to think and share their ideas.
Here is a video about Eduardo Sousa’s foie gras. Ok, I have only eaten foie gras once at a little family restaurant in Paris and my life wasn’t changed or anything, but some people seem to thoroughly worship it. I am more interested in this talk because of Eduardo and Dan’s point of view about agriculture. Eduardo Sousa is a farmer in the Extremadura region of Spain. Dan Barber is a restauranteur and good farming practices educator.
One of my favorite parts of the video is 14:21 to 15:24, but the whole talk is interesting. Another fun/interesting TED talk, not related to food, is here.
If you want to try Eduardo’s foie gras, you can spend the rest of your retirement fund on it here.

I sure felt guilty eating a mass produced turkey burger for dinner but hey, I got home late and didn’t have time to harvest my home grown beets.

Thanks for sharing the video information…really felt good to hear something so real in the morning other than the news. Barber sure seems “enamored” with his career and life…inspiring.
